Snacks: Greek Yogurt

_MG_4388   FAGE. Pronounced as “Fa-yeh” or something like that is a good brand of greek yogurt you should buy! The other brand you can also purchase is CHOBANI. Do look out for these brands of greek yogurt!_MG_4390 (Tip: Fage are the cheapest in Meidi-ya, priced at only $2.60 per 200g tub – above, cold storage sells them around $5 if I’m not wrong) Not all greek yogurt are made equal! Please don’t think greek yogurt extremely healthy and go to your nearest supermarket and purchase a tub! Always read the nutritional information first with the ingredients! For Chobani and Fage, you would see that there are MINIMAL ingredients which is mainly milk and healthy bacteria, with no sugar added! My personal preference in buying greek yogurt is to buy them plain with NO ADDED JAMS, and I rather flavour them myself as the jam provided always has added sugar in them (in any form), in both Chobani and Fage. Rather, I choose to flavour them myself with choice of jam/nuts/seeds!

When choosing jams always look at the nutritional label carefully! Beware of jams that say “no sugar added” like smuckers brand as they include lots of chemicals, your best bet is to go with St Dalfour as their jams do not have any added sugar. They are frequently on discount at fairprice/ntuc with 2 for the price of $8.85, so do look out for them!
